Dear All General Practitioners
All Practice Managers
Please share this bulletin with locum GPs and other GP colleagues who may not receive it directly.
Broadcast from Dr Katie Bramwell Chair of GPCE
Parliament is about to debate the future of Palantir’s NHS data contract on Thursday 16 April – we need your help to ensure your MP turns up and takes part.
This is a major opportunity – the first full parliamentary debate on the FDP/single care record since the Financial Times revealed that ministers are actively exploring triggering the break clause in Palantir’s contract. As GPs we must further increase pressure on the government to ditch Palantir.
The more MPs that take part in the debate, the stronger the message to govt to cancel the contract. Please email your MP today and ask them to attend.
– The BMA has called on all doctors to limit their engagement with the platform.
– MPs from different parties are raising serious concerns about Palantir’s role in our NHS.
– There’s a risk this momentum gets lost. Palantir is lobbying hard to keep its contract alive.
It’ll take less than 2 minutes, and Foxglove have included a suggested email for you to tailor/edit and send.
So please email your MP now – ask them as a GP constituent to attend the debate on Thursday 16 April. 🙏
Consider this a warm-up action…
